It is very easy to exclude matters from billing in Manor. This is a nice feature when working on pro bono matters or internal matters not meant to be billed. If a matter is excluded it will not show up in the billing process and all billable items; time, travel, products and expenses that are added to the matter will just remain there. If you later decide the matter should be billed it will show up in the billing process with all of it's billable items.

To exclude matter from billing simply navigate to the matter and Edit matter details.

Then remove the check from the Billable checkbox.

Pro tip: You can also set the matter's billable status when you create the matter.
